Default WTT: My Hardballer Longslide for your AR-15

Does anyone have an AR-15 to trade for my AMT Hardballer Longslide .45? They are getting to be pretty rare these days, regularly selling for $800 or more on gunbroker in the condition mine is in. I love my Hardballer, but as some of you know, I've been wanting an AR for quite a while now.

Oh its a biggin lol. 7" barrel, 10.5" overall length. How much cash would you want for the hawk out of curiosity? I may know someone who might be interested.

i was kinda jokin. im gonna hold on to it for the time i have to make someone piss their pants. ive got a scope on it but need to play with it tuning it for long range with reloads.
FYI its a 9.5 inch barrel cant remember what i picked it up for exactly but wanna say 500-600. rugers sug. retail is 945. so maybe someone could pick on up for 800 at some shops. good luck with that gun it looks like a great collector

Someone offered to trade his Hesse AR-15 HBAR (all cast reciever) with Wilson match-grade barrel straight up for my AMT Hardballer Longslide. I did a google search on Hesse, and I've seen a whole lot of "stay away" but with seemingly not much "and here's why" behind it. Does anyone have any first-hand experience with them? Would you make that trade?

My cousin bought one of these EXACT AR's from a buddy, his friend has only put about 300 rnds thru it so he thought that $500 was a great deal on it. The dam thing broke after about 500 more rounds. After my cousin did some research he found that they were not cooled or quenched correctly and made them very weak.

Hesse is a company that has changed names about as fast as you can shoot one of their guns, they are not reliable from both an arms and business standpoint.

Keep in mind, this is just what I was told but being that it was family I tend to believe it.

have you thought about building your own AR or parts are too hard to get now? as for cast receivers ive heard bad things about them which is expected for that quality. best thing you could do is get it and swap parts out as you know more about them. thats a slick side right?

That's exactly what I plan to do. I traded tonight for it. Putting a new DPMS lower on it tomorrow, and going to part it out and upgrade as I go. Apparently, the upper is forged and has a Wilson match barrel, though what I really want is a railed 16" carbine length. I figure doing it this way is also a great way to learn the rifle. As far as the "slick side" question, I've only ever heard that term being used for pistols without a safety (like my Beretta), and if that is what you mean, no it has a safety on the other side. The upper on this thing is actually pretty sweet if you know someone who might be interested in trading. Heavy duty metal foregrip on it too.
